On July 3, 2017, the opening winners exhibition was launched to showcase all of the award-winning products. The exhibition, which lasted four weeks, was held at the Red Dot Design Museum Essen in Germany, where over a thousand people from all around the world come to see the valued products and designs. The launch was followed by an optional yet exclusive Winner’s dinner that was catered by one of the most prominent chefs in Germany, star cook Frank Rosin, and his crew.

All this led to the Red Dot Gala, a prestigious award ceremony held in the Aalto-Theater in Essen to mark the close of the competition. About 1,200 worldwide guests attended the ceremony, including design stars, media representatives, business experts, and political figures. The theater itself is a beautiful architectural feat, with soft curving walls and three rows of balconies leaning inward so that the distance to the stage for the spectators sitting highest up is the same as for those in the lowest balcony rows.

To celebrate the awards and achievements of those who participated, the guests enjoyed themselves at Designer’s Night held at the Red Dot Design Museum Essen. The museum’s everyday purpose is to create a unique experience for guests to view good design quality custom items. It typically hosts about 2,000 exhibits from 45 nations annually, and all are marked with the Red Dot seal. It was a great atmosphere to be inspired by and discover the best products of the year, in which PROKAS was proud to a part of.
